01

About Peaceful Plants

Peaceful Plants is a specialist UK plant business focused primarily on rare Anthuriums, collector hybrids, seeds, seedlings and selected genetics.

References in these terms to “Peaceful Plants”, “we”, “our” or “us” refer to the seller operating the Peaceful Plants website.

References to “you” or “customer” mean the person placing an order or using the website.

02

Products & Availability

Many of our plants are individual living specimens and are available in very limited quantities. Products may therefore sell out without notice.

We reserve the right to withdraw, correct or update a product listing where necessary, including where a product has been sold elsewhere, damaged before dispatch or listed with an obvious error.

Where we are unable to fulfil an order, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund or alternative where agreed.

03

Plant Photographs & Natural Variation

We aim to represent our products accurately. Where a listing shows the exact plant for sale, photographs are intended to show its condition and appearance when photographed.

Some listings may use parent photographs, mature examples, flowering examples or representative photographs. Where an image is illustrative rather than the exact plant supplied, this should be apparent from the listing or product description.

Plants naturally change over time. Leaf colour, shape, venation, emergent colour, variegation, size and other characteristics may change as a plant develops or responds to a new growing environment.

04

Seeds, Seedlings & Genetics

Each seed and seedling is genetically individual unless it is a clone or otherwise specifically described as genetically identical material.

Parent photographs describe or illustrate the genetics used in a cross and are not a guarantee that offspring will display the same appearance, variegation, darkness, leaf shape, venation or other traits.

Germination, growth rate and mature characteristics depend on genetics, growing conditions and subsequent care and cannot normally be guaranteed unless a specific guarantee is expressly stated in the listing.

05

Prices & Payment

Prices displayed on the website are shown in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated.

The total amount payable will be shown during checkout, including applicable delivery charges before you complete your order.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available at checkout. An order is not treated as paid until payment has been successfully received or otherwise agreed.

Promotional prices, discount codes and special offers may have additional conditions and may be changed or withdrawn where permitted.

06

Order Acceptance

Receiving an automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that an order has been finally accepted.

We may contact you before dispatch if we identify a payment issue, stock problem, pricing error, delivery restriction or other issue affecting fulfilment.

If we cannot accept or fulfil your order, any payment received for the affected item will be refunded as appropriate.

07

Dispatch & Delivery

Orders are normally prepared for dispatch within approximately 3–5 working days unless another timeframe is displayed, agreed or required due to the nature of the order.

Because live plants are sensitive to extreme weather, we may occasionally delay dispatch where doing so is reasonably necessary to reduce avoidable risk to the plant.

Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery times unless a guaranteed service has specifically been purchased.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

08

Live Plants & Care After Delivery

A live plant may react to transport, environmental change, temperature, humidity, watering and other growing conditions after delivery.

Customers are responsible for providing suitable care once the plant has been delivered.

If there is a concern with the condition of a plant on arrival, please follow our Returns & Refunds Policy before repotting, cutting, dividing or materially altering the plant.

09

Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Your cancellation and return rights depend on the product, circumstances and applicable consumer law.

Certain goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly may fall within statutory exceptions to standard distance-selling cancellation rights. This does not remove rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

Full details of our plant-condition reporting process, damaged deliveries, returns and refunds are set out in our separate Returns & Refunds Policy.

10

Sales & Reduced Items

Some plants may be reduced because of cosmetic damage, previous leaf loss, imperfect foliage or another condition clearly disclosed before purchase.

A customer cannot normally treat a clearly disclosed characteristic as an undisclosed defect simply because the product was sold at a reduced price.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected in relation to faults or issues that were not disclosed and where the relevant legal requirements apply.

11

Auctions & Bidding

Where Peaceful Plants offers products through an online auction, additional auction rules displayed on the auction page form part of the applicable terms.

Customers should only place bids they genuinely intend to honour. Proxy or maximum bidding functionality may automatically place bids up to the customer's chosen limit.

Auction timing, bid increments, reserve status, extensions and payment requirements will be displayed or explained through the auction system.

Nothing in an auction rule is intended to exclude consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12

International Orders

Customers ordering outside the United Kingdom are responsible for checking the plant-import, customs and phytosanitary requirements of the destination country before ordering.

Import permits, duties, taxes and other destination-country requirements are the customer's responsibility unless specifically stated otherwise.

Where available, phytosanitary documentation may be arranged by prior agreement and may carry an additional charge.

Customs inspections, border controls and delays caused by authorities or carriers are outside our direct control.

13

Customer Accounts

Customers may create or use an account to access features such as previous orders, account details, saved payment information where supported, gift-related features and other services made available through the website.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for providing accurate account information.

Please contact us if you believe your account has been used without permission.

14

Website Use

You must not misuse the Peaceful Plants website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the website.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict website functionality for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

15

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original photographs, written content, educational material, graphics and branding published by Peaceful Plants remain the intellectual property of their respective owner.

Content may not be reproduced, commercially redistributed or presented as another person's work without appropriate permission, except where the law permits.

16

External Websites & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party services, marketplaces, payment providers, social platforms or other websites.

Third-party websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and Peaceful Plants does not control their independent content or operation.

17

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for plant deterioration caused after delivery by unsuitable care, environmental conditions, unauthorised treatment, repotting, cutting, pests introduced after receipt or similar matters outside our reasonable control.

We are also not responsible for indirect business losses suffered by a consumer purchasing primarily for personal use where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable.

18

Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Delivery and fulfilment may occasionally be affected by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, carrier disruption, customs delays, border restrictions, industrial action or major service outages.

Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to manage the situation and communicate with affected customers where appropriate.

19

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal obligations.

The version displayed on this page will show the date it was most recently updated.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under an existing order.

20

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you based on where you live.

Nothing in these terms prevents a consumer from relying on rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
